Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel’s July 4th Fireworks Celebration
With the July 4th Fireworks Celebration Package, you receive access to the VIP rooftop pool deck for a stunning view of the fireworks at the Columbia Lakefront, plus accommodations and breakfast for two in Lak Restaurant. Food, beverage and entertainment are available throughout the day, with views of the lakefront at The Rookery Bar & Lounge. Columbia Association’s Lakefront Live July 4th Celebration
Presented in partnership with Howard County Recreation & Parks and the Merriweather Arts and Culture Center, this free Independence Day celebration offers an unforgettable night under the stars.
Schedule Highlights:
- 3:00 PM — Blanket placement begins
- 5:00–9:00 PM — Food trucks on-site
- 6:00–9:00 PM — Live music from Dustbowl Revival and The Sidleys, produced by MACC
- 9:15 PM (approx.) — Fireworks by Howard County Rec & Parks
About the Bands:
Dustbowl Revival blends New Orleans funk, soul, bluegrass, and blues into a genre-hopping dance party. The Sidleys, D.C.’s first family of rock and soul, are known for heartfelt vocals and a fusion of retro and modern melodies.

US Navy Concert Band at the Chrysalis
Kick off the holiday with soaring music and American pride! The United States Navy Concert Band — renowned for over 95 years — will take the Chrysalis stage in Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods for a free, family-friendly concert featuring marches, patriotic pieces, and orchestral favorites.
